  1. Workplace violence also puts HR of the company in a tricky position to handle it. I think in that case it's a very good topic to discuss. Workplace violence can also have very adverse impact on employee performance and employee turnover as they begin to fear their subordinates. This is a very common problem in places such as factories and construction where the employee have tendency to take matters in their own hands instead of following the protocols enforced by the company. Workplace violence will not stop in the workplace itself. It will continue after work and affect the personal lives as well. Making sure that no such issues arise itself is a huge overhead for the HR departments.

  4. Workplace violence is any act or threat of physical violence, harassment, intimidation, or other threatening disruptive behavior that occurs at the work site. It ranges from threats and verbal abuse to physical assaults and even homicide. It can affect and involve employees, clients, customers and visitors. Homicide is currently the fourth-leading cause of fatal occupational injuries in the United States. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI), of the 4,679 fatal workplace injuries that occurred in the United States in 2014, 403 were workplace homicides. However it manifests itself, workplace violence is a major concern for employers and employees worldwide.
