Hilton, etc, al, (2010), Accident and injuries at workplace can have a very big effect on the business organization. The employee's health is a main priority that should be given as said in previous topics. If a worker is injured at workplace, first should take a very quick action to help the worker to get care such as a good first aid  then the next duty is to report the accident that occurred, immediately to the employee's supervisor and to the Human Resources Management (Ajay, 2007). Its the duty of the supervisor to get the report of injury. The report of injury should be handed over to the Human Resource Management within 24 hours (Garcie-Herrero, 2012)

    3. By this blog we studied what is work place accident or injury and the types of those, the responsibilities or employee and supervisor and the benefit of worker’s compensation, however it is also important to analyses the prevention of these accidents or injuries at a workplace.
Below are few common accidents or injuries take place and the way to prevent them.

Slips, Trips And Falls - good housekeeping, quality walking surfaces and proper footwear.

Being Caught In Or Struck By Moving Machinery - any machine part, function or process that may cause injury must be safeguarded and existing hazards must be controlled or eliminated and proper operator training and protective clothing must be provided.

Transportation And Vehicle-Related Accidents - assessing who is at risk, as well as where and when these accidents most commonly occur. vehicle/worker orientation and safe systems of work, more easily established, focus on workplace design, ensuring layout routes always segregate pedestrians and vehicles and make any obstructions clearly visible

Fire And Explosions - hazard communication standards to help workers avoid fire and explosion injuries. In addition, material safety data sheets (MSDS) for chemicals should be kept on hand and employees should wear personal protective equipment at all times

    4. This has to be given much priority in all the companies. This includes legal aspects also. If an organisation do not carry out proper safety measures, it could end up paying big compensation to victims. Not being aware of one’s legal responsibilities and duties is not a defense for non-compliance. For an employer, having an effective, functioning
HSMS can form the basis for a due diligence defense when an incident results in loss
      or harm.

    5. Workplace injuries can have a big impact on your business, whether it's due to reduced productivity, lost sales, lower staff morale, or even closure. If a worker is injured during the course of their employment they're entitled to make a workers compensation claim. Accidents usually need to be recorded in an accident log for insurance purposes. It's your responsibility as an employer to ensure that all employees understand their rights and responsibilities relating to workplace accidents.
